my christmas family

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas this year. I know we did....spoiled rotten children. I was starting to feel sorry for myself for not getting alot of time off this year....and then it clicked. I should be happy I have a job, especially with our economy and everything. . . God does that to me ....when I start having a little pitty party....he gives me alittle wake up call. so anyway. Happy Holidays>

Miracle

I know you all have been concerned about Tinkerbell and how she is doing. Well....she is just fine. Now realize they had to cut her hair around her mouth, so she doesn't look like a yorkie without her little beard.... but she's as cute as can be. Avery has her little christmas bow in her hair today, and as you can tell, I did return her purple clip, even though I thought it looked just as good in my hair.

ps. only 5 more days till the madness is over!

skinny girls

I am so tired of studing the human anatomy......sometimes I want my FA test to be tomorrow, then I realize how stupid I am....and need another 6 yrs to study for it. Anyway, I'm studying the external nose, nasal septum and cavity right now, and in my divine wisdom, I have decided to share some of my wisdom with you. If you ever see one of those skinny girls and it pisses ya off, (you know what I mean, the kind that eats whatever, and you would have to starve yourselves for the next century) just remember they too have "fibro-FATTY tissue in their nose, and no matter what....will always have it. So there!

this isn't no snow storm

Ok... I know I sound like my grandma telling us about how she had to walk 10 miles, with no shoes and all that stuff, but when I was a kid, not so long ago....we went to school all the time, no matter about alittle ice and snow. Was it really that bad? Cold yes....but come on.....

Not Just another Birthday

My family and friends finally did it, and it was awesome. Surprise me on my birthday. I was happy with Ralph with what I thought our plans were to go have a quiet dinner, just me and him. That doesn't usually happen either. So that was going to be great with me. I should have thought it alittle weird when our daughters weren't going with us, but I assumed Ralph was just being romantic. So I come home from work, which was uneventful.....going to but on some jeans and sweatshirt, and Ralph says "Aren't you going to wear something nice?" That's a hint, for you guys if you don't understand your husbands yet. And he's in khaki pants, and nice shirt. (should have been my second clue) So we're driving to house of pizza, my pick. Happy Birthday to ME! and right before we get there he's texting. Who in the ____, could he be texting....it's my birthday.(3rd clue). Pull up in parking lot, walk in , and there they are....my friends and family keeping secrets from me all day. Thanks GUYS it was great. The best birthday ever, even if it was my 40th. Cool hat, hun?

o christmas tree

Yeah....I finally got my christmas tree....and don't worry I didn't have to steal it from the national forest, and be put in federal jail. I know several of you were concern for my welfare. Ralph has a friend with some land, and he even picked out the tree for us. Cool hun? It's been along time since we've had a real tree, already my house smells of cedar, and cinnamon. Morgan decorated it, with little help from the rest, and put cinnamon sticks on it too. It made my day, it reminded me of when my dad would take us out on my birthday to get our tree. I love doing that. So this year would be special to me.

All day crop

Well girls, I had an awesome day at my church's all day crop. Got to spend some valued time with my friends and even my sister, that I never ever get to see anymore. I didn't get alot of pages done, but it was nice to have some me time. And then there is the Elvis records that Sandy gave me....TOO COOL! No I will not be making any albums out of those, for those few who do not know my Love for ELVIS (he is the King). We'll have to do that again soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!

Well, my oldest turn 15 yesterday. Time goes by so fast, it seems like yesterday....we were saying I wish she could talk, and then it was "I wish she could walk", and then Potty in the toilet, and so on......Now I think about what I can do with her room when she goes to college, not really thinking about her leaving me....

So, anyhow....here's a lovely picture of her in her room with her new futon bed/couch.

Thanksgiving

Well, it's been along week, alot of hours at work...but it was worth it. My family got to spend alittle time together at Magda's house. That's Ralph's mom, who lives in Birch tree Mo. The food was great....but my favorite part, is when everyone tells what their thankful for. At this point, I'm just happy to be resting....

christmas lights

Today was so much better than yesterday....I thought for sure on saturday we were going to get some snow. haha By the way my back just stop hurting on saturday afternoon...don't know what that's about....thinking kidney. Hate going to the Dr., isn't that funny , since I see one everyday. HUM. Anyways, worked out in the yard alittle today, and got out the christmas lights. Our neighbor has offered to put them up for me. Isn't he nice. Well, I'm the fool, that will work for hours to fix the lights from last year....you know the strands that half won't work. If it was up to my husband, he would throw them away...but you know money doesn't grow on lights. So after 2 hours working on those useless lights, I'm taking a break. I'll let you know how it goes a couple of days from now.

Trick or Treat

Halloween was alittle different for us this year. The girls are getting older and don't care much for the trick or treating. They still like getting dress up though. The neighbors and us did up yard real spooky. It was so cool, we did a coffin, and at first we had a black light and dry ice in it. But there was too much moisture in the air, so the dry ice didn't work very well. So Randall, neighbor hid in the coffin and scarced the kiddoes. They didn't care for it much, but it sure made us (the grown ups) laugh alot.

what is the punishment?

i come home tonight, going to fix some pasta, have the noodles cooking, get the cheese out, and go to my cabinet to get the black olives and it's not there. They were there yesterday, when I was looking for cream of chicken. Morgan has been home most of the day, because she now has the "sick as a dog" flu. So I say "morgan did you eat the can of olives". "Yea" was her reply. Who eats a can of olives. Do you set on the sofa, saying" hum....I sure would like a can of olives". Then I find myself getting very mad. It's not that a can of olives cost alot, but dude, you just don't eat a can of olives...you know. So i'm getting more worked up at her. How do I punish her for eating a can of olives? Sometimes I just don't get it.

sick as a dog

Whoever gave me this aweful sickness, you suck! Thursday evening my throat starting itching....and Friday morning ( one of my few days off) it was here. I feel like crap. Besides feeling like someone ran over me, and my nose constantly leaking, and raw from rubbing. and yes I'm using kleenex with lotion. Now, sunday....still feel like crap. Taking any kind of pill that promises relief. Of course they lie. Nothing seems to work....Have you notice, I am grumpy.

the Weekend

Do you ever have one of those weekends, where it goes to hell, but you don't know it tell a couple of days later your telling one of your friends about your life for the last couple of days. AND THEN IT HITS YOU. Well, boys and girls , I had one hell of a weekend. Today, Tinkerbell is doing better. She goes to the vet tomorrow for a check-up and we'll see what they say. But the smell of rotten/burnt flesh is so-overbearing it's all I can do to hold her.....the whole story is so amazing, to think she is still alive.....WOW. If you don't know what I'm talking about Tinkerbell electrocuted herself friday night, and is losing part of her mouth. I know she is just a dog, but she is my daughters puppy. She is a doll...and Avery loves her, and I can't see her in pain. So to go on, While Tinkerbell got to stay all weekend at the vet, we took the girls to Springfield to do alittle shopping and to have a family day out (hoping it would help the attitudes of us all). It did. My favorite part was stopping at the roadside park and taking some pictures of the girls. I love fall.

nothing going on

OK...what do I say...I have nothing goin on. I'm starting to get excited about my retreat with my scapbooking buddies. (You guys know who you are!) I need to get organized, so it doesn't look like i'm bring my closet with everything in it. Of course, you know I say that everytime, and there I am with all my stuff. And you know, it's not so much of the cropping, that I like, but being away from home, no chores, no "mom I need" just ME TIME! and getting to spend it with some close friends and chocolate. yeah!
Oh yeah....have you notice the trees today? It's like it happen overnight....this is my favorite time....I've got to get out and get some pictures....

Soup Mood

Ok...I know it hasn't cooled off yet....but with all the fall stuff out in the stores and the mums...and stuff, it gets me in the mood for my favorite season. I LOVE FALL. The trees, the cool weather...everything about it. So...I had to make soup. I use to not make soup....because I really didn't think it was a meal. Phooey on that. Soup is great, and today I decided to share my Taco Soup recipe with ya. I know this is a common recipe, but it's awesome, my girls love it. enjoy!

New Pet

Meet our new Pet, Ellie May...5 year old Mare. Yes this is Avery standing with her, but it's Ralph's horse. And as we all know, Ralph can't ride yet, so Avery gets to do everything with her. By the way, what can Ralph do???? (that's another story) This will also be a great FFA project for Avery. Can you tell I'm trying to talk myself into this. Anyways, she's very big (the horse) and nice. Please pray for me.....and if you have to ask why.....then you don't know me well. Pooh.

Me and the girls

Trying to get the girls to pose for me....is sometimes a struggle, they often like to get alittle goofy. Who figure....
this was Morgan's Birthday. Avery is 14 and now Morgan is 13....and we just won't talk about me...

slumber parties

You too can have this much fun, all you need is a couple of 12/13 year olds in your home. For a small fee, I can lease them to you. Morgan had a good birthday party. Actually the girls were real good, I think they are finally at an age, where they occupy themselves and only need you for food. Yeah...thanks Pizza man. Morgan didn't want cake this year. She wanted to make their own ice cream sundae. So whalaa....who knew a $4.00 can of whip cream could be so much fun. We also got our own private band concert.....I'm not sure I recognize the songs, but their learning....the best part....(hint: remember this)I took them home before 10 am....so they didn't get tired of each other and they were not in my house. This however might be alittle difficult, especially if they stayed up late, and you know their going to stay up late....

Labor Day

Well....I know why they call it Labor day. Because that's all I did all day. Not labor like child-birth, THANK GOD! but I decided to do alittle painting....my hallway. After finally getting the wall paper off. If I can talk anybody out of wall papering...please don't do it. It is a pain in the butt to remove and then your walls are not the same. Basically it sucks! Anyway, got the wall paper off, and started painting....this cool color I picked all out myself. (bad michelle). It is called Cincinnatian Hotel Vander Red (muted red) always wanted a red wall, couldn't go to bold, so muted red, that's cool right? After second coat, painting around the trim twice....muted red looks like vomit mauve...no shitting! Long story short....Avery drove Ralph to lowes, because he's still on crutches...not so much a pain in the ass no more...just alittle bit...anyway, we have a new color in the hallway, it's called New Haven Clay. Pretty cool, after all that painting....i have labored!
PS. Who comes up with this paint names? Is it some Martha Stewart want-a-be, sitting in a cubicle somewhere? I want that job.....Vander Red? Come on.

First Day of School

ok guys....my girls are getting to big...what I mean is they are getting older....I remember when it was fun getting them ready for their first day of school, buying their new outfits, fixing their hair... now all I do is get a picture from them saying "here mom", like it took alot out of them to do it. Phooey!

new neighbor

This is my new neighbor Areonna....(spelling is off)

Isn't she cute. She's 3 weeks old, and a doll. I can say that, because when she starts screaming like a banshee...I leave. LOL
Thank God my girls are growing up, I forgot how hard babies are!

free disable husband

OK...I don't want to start this out bad, or even appear to be bashing someone....but he's free.....anyone who wants him....come and get him today....no names mentioned....it will be our little secret..
I didn't want to write "handicap" because I thought it might affend someone, shoot, wouldn't want to do that.

But he's about to drive me crazy, I mean all the way to the looney-pen, and to think we only have 5 more weeks.....somebodies going to get hurt! Ps. no pictures because who would want to remember this.

Saturday, August 9, 2008

Ok....so me and the girls are driving home this evening and we're listening to the new Pussycat girls song. Something about be careful what you wish for....now this tells my age, with this new stuff....so I'm singing...(God knows I can't) " be careful what you wish for (hum) wish for Boobies.." Yes...i thought they said boobies, and what young girl doesn't wish for boobies....Avery looks at me, laughs ( as usual) "not boobies mom, (laugh again) Groupies" whatever!!! I can make the lyrics whatever I want to! so for you entertainment i'm adding the song to my playlist.

Tinkerbell the spaz!

Ok...so we got Avery my oldest a puppy back in May. She's a cute thing, but boy is she a crazy thing.....if I had just a inch of her energy...anyways... Avery saved up her money this summer to have her fixed. That was part of our deal, when we got Tinkerbell for her. So...here's the rest of the story....faint of heart might want to leave now....Tuesday she got fixed....pick her up at 430. She did great....by Wednesday evening, couldn't even tell she had anything done. Thursday, one of the stitches had "gotten worked out", she still doing ok.....Friday evening the other stitch "worked out". but the incision looked ok. Took my daughters to town, came back....got Tinkerbell, or "stickerbell" out of her kennell....theres her guts hanging out. NO JOKE! who knew a 7 month puppy could chew 3 layers of tissue, and have her insides hanging out, and still be happy as a lark, bobbing her head like there was nothing wrong. Long story short, after vet visit in the evening, $$$$ and a stay overnight, and antibotics and some meds to keep her calm, again tinkerbell is going on like nothing every happen. WHO KNEW?

cozumel

back from vacation

OK. so I've never been anywhere before. Finally, my husband and I went to Cozumel for vacation. Just us, not the girls...I know we're mean parents. But Ralph and I have never got to do anything like this in our 18 years of marriage, so I think we're do. It was great...the oceon was beautiful.....the ruins were awesome....but don't take my word....enjoy the pictures.
